We had a wonderful two night stay in July 2023 and everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for Henry, Sarah, Bruce and the rest of the team. We chose to treat ourselves to dinner, bed and breakfast and the food was absolutely delicious. To Moer and Gone was a lovely morning walk and there is so much more to explore that we will be back! We continued to explore the iconic passes for the rest of the week but the highlight of our trip was staying at Bosch Luys Kloof.
Alles Gute Euch!Jjh2024-03-318.0VerifiedVery GoodQuintus2024-03-258.0VerifiedVery GoodNelis2024-03-2510VerifiedWonderful experience and we'll be back. ☺ Off the beaten track, a little bit of an adventure to get out after a rain storm. We loved our stay . ☹ NothingGregory2024-03-109.0VerifiedPretty much an unforgettable experience. ☺ The mountain pass Seweweekspoort, on the way in was spectacular. Extremely scenic, bungalows are wonderful, we only spent one night and should have done 2. Main lodge is beautiful, our dinner (Karoo lamb) was so good, I will say it was the one of the best meals of the trip. Our host and guide, Sarah was full of interesting info about the park and the areas history, and gave us a wonderful game drive in the evening. The stars came out and after the camp lights went off I was able to capture some beautiful scenic with the Milky Way blazing away. ☹ Nothing

Bruce, Sarah and their team really ensure you have the best time. The food is superb too as are the rooms which are very spacious and have everything you need. Great walks and the mountain views are incredible.VerifiedMali L2024-05-07One of the best places I have ever visited We stayed in Bosch Luys Kloof for 2 nights and I wish we would have stayed longer. It was such a nice stay there. Bruce is an amazing manager, going out of his way to make your stay wonderful. Because of the heavy rain we had some difficulties with our car but he escorted us all the way out to the gate to make sure we would be fine with the car. Thank you alot, Bruce. The nature reserve itself offers a beautiful scenery and absolute peace. You can go on hikes or on a guided drive, which I highly recommend. Not to forget the delicious food.Verifiedmichael C2024-03-20A wonderful stay in a spectacular place! This is the most wonderful spot. Even the drive to and on the reserve is spectacular. The chalets are very comfortable and homely. The peace and quiet are beautiful and restoring, the staff (notably Bruce and Sarah) are so friendly and go out of their way to give you a wonderful and memorable time. We went for my partner's 60th birthday and the staff laid on a cake and champagne so she felt very spoilt. I would 200% recommend Bosch Luys Kloof, both for its beauty and the excellent welcome . Add it to your list of lekker places to stay.VerifiedSL19702024-02-18Paradise This is paradise. Great staff, amazing food, the little houses are wonderfully decorated, very luxurious. Nature drives are a must do. Well worth the long drive from Cape Town. The kitchen ladies prepare high quality food, you are basicly spoiled the minute you walk through the door. Will come back, if I visit SA again.VerifiedSarah2024-02-16Unforgettable, special experience Unforgettable stay. Bruce and Sarah were so knowledgeable about the plants and animals, history of the area, geology, etc. as well as being the kindest hosts in the world. Together with the other staff they pampered us during our stay with delicious food, beautiful lodges, 3 hour safaris full of plant and animal life, and guidance on hikes, driving in and out, and more. I would come back in a heartbeat, definitely the place to go for an authentic South African safari stay.VerifiedHennie G2024-02-08Wonderful lodge in stunning surroundings What an incredibe find..... The countryside is majestic and the accommodation luxurious.... From our arrival where were made to feel welcome - not just like all good hotels would do - but a genuine warm welcome. The food was top class and a late afternoon drive helped cement our feelings about the Reserve - stunning! We have already told several friends about our stay - encouraging them to visit. I have travelled to 115 countries for work and pleasure and have stayed in wonderful hotels - Boschluyskloof is near the top in my ratings. If you are looking for an incredible nature experience, spend several nights to make the trip worthwhile!VerifiedMika2024-01-09It's a must visit! We went to Bosch luys kloof in January 2024. It was the most authentic and amazing experience ever! You will need a 4x4 to go through the Seweweekspoort pass and finally to Bosch luys kloof. The drive through Seweweekspoort is something I will recommend to never bypass, it is the most majestic pass ever! It is frawdroppingly beautiful and a MUST to drive through. When you get to the gate of Bosch luys kloof, it's a bit of a drive to get to the actual lodge, but again, it's so beautiful and you see beautiful animals while driving down. We received such a warm and friendly welcome from the staff and they gave us a cool cloth to cool down after the long, hot and dry drive in the great Karoo. The chalet was very clean and comfortable! It had everything we need. It does not have a stove, but a beautiful braai area overlooking the mountains. It had a big bath and outdoor shower with a view. When we went on the game drive for sundowners, the driver answered all our questions, stopped to show us interesting things and even gave us all blankets on the way back when it got cold on the drive. Breakfast was amazing! It's a two course breakfast and very filling and tasty! Thank you so much to Bruce for being our hosts, you were absolutely incredible! Thank you to Henry for making us feel so welcome and to Lenie for the AMAZING and tasty food! I will most definitely be going back and I would recommend this beautiful private lodge to EVERYONE! It is a new family favourite.VerifiedNicoline J2024-01-08Bosch Luys Kloof, the Hidden Gem! Just spent the most glorious 4 days at Bosch Luys Kloof over New Year's Eve celebrating our special friends' 10 year wedding anniversary. The experience could not have been more wonderful. The food was delicious (the kudu in puff pastry was sublime), the chalets were elegently cozy & clean with gorgeous white linen and an outdoor shower that I now miss! The scenery is breathtaking, whether one is hiking through it or sipping a G&T looking out onto the Gamka Dam after game driving through teams of springbok, kudu, oryx and eiland. Equally wonderful and the stars of the show are the friendly & welcoming staff ‐ Henry, Bruce, Sarah & team, thank you for your warmth & professional hospitality, without you our fabulous trip would not have been complete. We will be back :)Verifiedjayno6662023-12-02A wonderful place to get away from it all! We spent a couple of nights at Bosch Luys Kloof as part of a recent trip through the Klein Karoo, and what a treat it was! The reserve is in the most stunning scenic valley, and each of the cottages has a wonderful view down to the river and across to the Witteberg on the far side of the valley. As there's been a lot of rain this year, the bush was quite green and the river flowing freely, which was an unexpected surprise. Would recommend the daily afternoon drives in the reserve. Sarah, our guide, was a mine of useful information on the local flora, and we had some great sightings of some of the game in the reserve - kudu, gemsbok and springbok, as well as the occasional baboon. There are also great views of the Gamkapoort dam at the eastern end of the valley. The hospitality team, led by Henry, looked after us very well and the meals were absolutely delicious. Our cottage was also very well appointed with an open air shower and large verandah - both offering further opportunities to admire the view. We had a wonderful few days of total relaxation. The drive into the reserve via Seweweekspoort and the Bosch Luys Kloof pass is also definitely worth a mention for the stunning scenery on offer. We had some car trouble on the way out, and Bruce looked after us very well and made sure that we had his number in case we needed to come back for an extra night. All in all this was an exceptional experience and we would definitely recommend this as a place to come to for a true African bush experience.VerifiedRod F2023-11-22Peace in Paradise What a charming team took great care of us. They were more than accommodating with the booking we messed up. Food was absolutely delicious and served with great skill and style. (Thanks for the Oxtail). The peace and quiet was amazing- we will have to come back for the stars but the dramatic clouds and smell of rain was also special
