VACANCY FOR GUEST LIAISON & RESERVE ASSISTANT

We are seeking a passionate, professional, customer service orientated individual to join and enhance the Bosch Luys Kloof PNR team, on a full-time basis.

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in and around the lodge and on the Reserve as a whole, which enhance guest experience. These tasks will include (but are not limited to) assistance and management in the following fields to ensure that all aspects of guest experience are maintained at high standards at all times: Front of house duties, overseeing housekeeping, stock takes and stock control, menu planning and costing, assisting with meal and bar service, hosting of guests, assistance in HR and administrative tasks including email correspondence, reservations, invoicing and financial reporting, hospitality meetings, assisting with maintenance in and around the lodge and on the Reserve as a whole and assisting with guided drives and activities.

Minimum Skill, Experience/Qualification Requirements:

  • A degree/diploma in Nature Management/ Hospitality Services/ Tourism or a related field
  • Previous working experience in a Nature Reserve / Lodge setting or similar field beneficial
  • Multilingual preferable but at minimum proficient in both English and Afrikaans
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with 4×4 driving will be beneficial.
  • Experience with menu planning, costing, stock purchasing and stock control beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays and evenings
  • Must be willing to live on the reserve (live-in position)
  • Proficient in use of social media beneficial
  • Firefighting, First Aid certification desirable
